The estranged husband of a missing Connecticut woman has again argued her disappearance nearly two months ago is a ploy to get him in trouble and keep him from their five children.

His lawyer, Norm Pattis, continued to claim Jennifer may have staged a "Gone Girl"-type disappearance, faking her own vanishing to frame her husband. Jennifer's family is calling the "Gone Girl" account "a classic act of desperation to slander the victim."
